How to build the garage

  1. Now it's time to build. First you create a stone or concrete foundation. When doing this, make sure that your area is level here. Use a spirit level for this.
  2. Now measure exactly on this one foundation all corners of the planned carport according to your dimensions. Here you now attach several ground sockets for your square timbers in the appropriate places. To do this, drill screw holes in the foundation and insert long screws.
  3. Then you have to attach two corner sleeves in the middle so that your carport side panels are additionally stabilized.
  4. Then place your intended square timbers directly in the ground sockets. Screw them tight. Please note here that these squared timbers at the rear of your carport must be shorter for the slope. The timbers must be vertical. Use the spirit level again for this.
  5. Then screw the beams to the upper ends of the already mounted vertical squared timbers. These must correspond to your carport length and width. This will give you the framework for your roof.
  6. It is best to screw cross bars between a vertical and horizontal wooden beam to stabilize your carport. You have now completed the basic structure of your carport.
  7. For the roof, screw the Plexiglas onto the roof beams.
  8. Now you can paint the basic structure with wood protection glaze.
