This is how you engrave a slate

What you need:

• 1 slate, 20 x 20 cm, 0.5 cm thick
• 1 scrap piece of slate
• 1 electric engraving device with special attachments
• printer
• paper
• Crayon

Preparations for the slate engraving

• Connect the engraving device to the power supply.
• Place a suitable attachment - depending on the motif - on the engraving device. Test the effect of the engraving attachments on a small scrap piece of slate.
• Think of a text / a date or a nice motif that you would like to engrave.
• Draw your motif on a piece of paper or print it out with your printer. If you want to engrave text, look for a copyright-free font for your text on the Internet.

• When you are done with your engraving, take the technical alcohol on hand, put some of it on the cloth and carefully wipe the rock dust off the engraved slate.
• Present the hand-engraved slate with the greyish-white motif to friends and relatives.
