  • The volume you can get it on the internet or it is much better to get advice from a potter near you.
  • The clay is then kneaded into a malleable mass using water.
  • Now look for a smooth surface, for example a board, and you can start building your light house.

Design a light house for Christmas

  1. First you need a square base plate. To do this, roll the clay in build-up ceramic into sausages of the same thickness and place them close together. Using wet hands, join the sausages into a plate and cut the ends straight off on all four sides with a knife.
  2. Now start with the individual walls in ceramic build-up as well. For this, too, roll clay rolls of the same thickness and now layer them on top of each other as walls. You have to be careful not to let the clay get too damp and collapse your walls. Then you should put the light house in the sun or by the window and let it dry out for a few hours. Then it can go on. The individual rolls are "glued" together with wet hands.
  3. Make a jug out of ceramic - that's how it works

Even if you have no experience in pottery, you can make a jug yourself ...

  4. In order for light to come out of your light house, you need a few small baking molds, for example a star, a moon or a Christmas tree. Use this to carefully prick out the walls.
  5. You can make the roof in the same way as the base plate and after it has dried, place the two plates as a roof on your light house and "glue" it back with damp clay. Remember that the roof can also be cut out with a star.
  6. You should leave a larger hole in the back wall so that you can slide the tea light into it later.
  7. Now let your light house dry out thoroughly.
  8. Then take your light house to the potter and decorate your light house with the right ones Colours and glazes.
  9. The potter then burns the light house in his kiln. Then you can pick up your light house from him in a few days.

Now have fun decorating or giving away for Christmas.
