For copyright reasons, the ORF broadcasts its programs ORF 1, ORF 2, as well as ORF one HD and ORF 2 HD in encrypted form. You therefore need an ORF-compatible receiver and an ORF-dDgital-SAT card.   8. Before using your ORF digital satellite card, set the receiver to ORF one or ORF 2 using the remote control.

Important: if necessary, first switch the power supply unit / power cord into the digital receiver and then into a socket. Otherwise it can happen that the receiver does not work, but this order is only necessary when using it for the first time. Install the SAT card

  1. Now insert the SAT card as indicated for the device. For DVR devices, the golden area faces up. Check the operating instructions to see which device you have or ask your television specialist.

Important facts about using an ORF card

  • If you buy a TÜV-certified satellite receiver in stores, the receiver also has already checked whether the ability to correctly display and receive the programs of the ORF is given is. An ORF-DIGITAL-SAT card is usually included. This is activated for 30 days from the first commissioning and must be registered for you for further use.
