The eBay portal is still a popular platform for buying and selling things. Some things that are worthless to one person are currently collecting. If you have sold something yourself and you have been disappointed by the buyer, you can rate them negatively. So go ahead.

Rate a customer negatively

  • If you're very upset, this may not be the mood to leave a review on eBay. It happens too quickly that you get caught in the wrong tone. Insulting or hurtful reviews also cast a bad light on those who make them. So first of all, sleep in your project for one night for the negative review.
  • If you have any disagreements with a buyer, please contact them first. The “My eBay” menu is very clearly laid out. At the relevant auction you will find a link “Contact buyer” on the right.
  • Describe your concerns to your buyer in a factual manner. Did he forget to transfer the purchase amount? Has he misunderstood your offer and is now expecting something different from what you offered? In any case, direct contact is the first step in the event of any discrepancies.
  • If that doesn't work, give a factual, short review that other eBay members can understand. A negative evaluation in particular should be well founded.

  • A negative rating is very unpleasant for both buyers and sellers. Many eBay members look up the reviews to see who they are dealing with.
  • It is not always necessary to rate negatively straight away. On the other hand, do you want to warn other eBay members with your negative review? If you have a case that is completely unsatisfactory, feel free to rate that too. But always factual and well-founded.
  • Unfortunately, your discrepancy will not be resolved with the assessment alone. At the top right of the eBay website you will find a link "Customer Service". There you can select "Clarify problem". EBay offers you the opportunity to report a problem here. This applies to both buyers and sellers.
  • A given rating can also be changed again under certain circumstances. Here, too, you will find information on how this is possible in the "Customer Service" area. Unfortunately the variants are very different. Read through what you can do in your personal case.
  • If you yourself received a negative review that you consider to be wrong, you can request that your trading partner revise this again or that this evaluation be deleted will.
