  • If you like, you can also cut off the shirt collar and widen the neckline to the front so that you can pull the shirt over your head with the buttons closed. Overcast the cut edges. sew The shirts at the placket.

This is how the hippie clothing becomes colorful

  • The easiest and fastest way to get the ethnic shirt colorful is to gather the fabric into a corner in some places. Twist it together like a string and tie some string around it. You can make several tails and / or tie them off in different places. Now dye the shirt in the washing machine. If you like, you can loosen or remove a few threads. tie off other areas and dye the shirt again in a darker color.
  • Make tie-dye t-shirts yourself

If you make a tie-dye T-shirt yourself, you can tie the pattern ...

  • Another way to dye clothes in the look is to spread them out on a large sheet of plastic. Place various paper motifs on top. Dip a toothbrush in fabric paint. Hold a tea strainer over the shirt. Rub the brush over the sieve. This way, the paint doesn't splash onto the fabric in a single drop. Repeat the process with different colors. The motifs remain white, the rest is speckled with bright colors. Fix the color according to the instructions, usually by ironing.
  • Potato printing is also a good way to create an ethnic look for the shirts. Cut a large potato in half. Press a cookie cutter into the cut surface. Cut a slice 2 cm thick from the potato horizontally to the cut surface, but only the part that is outside the cutter. Press the resulting stamp in fabric paint and then onto the shirt. Now all you have to do is fix the color.

You can combine these methods as you wish. You can of course dye the shirt in a bright color first and then print it as described.
