Hamachi creates a virtual network through which you can use various multiplayer Games can use with friends. Occasionally, you will need to unblock the port to prevent the firewall from blocking Hamachi.

Release the port in the router

1. In order to avoid connection problems with Hamachi, you should, if no connection can be established, release the ports in the router. To do this, open it and first select "Settings".
2. In the menu you will find the option "Connections", which you click on. Select the "Connection Settings" here and enter port 12975. Save this.
3. Now open the "Ports" in the "Router Settings". Enter port 12975 for both TCP and UDP. If this is entered, select the settings for this and activate "Enable". Save this again and close the settings.

Allow Hamachi in the firewall

Despite successful port release from Hamachi, it can still happen that this is blocked by the firewall. In this case, a message to this effect usually appears when starting Hamachi.

1. Then you can choose to allow Hamachi to receive and send data. If this message does not appear, open the "Control Panel".
2. Here click on the "Windows Firewall". On the left select the link "Allow programs and features". Search for Hamachi in the list and activate the two options "Home" and "Public" that are displayed.
3. Save the changes and close the firewall. Now start Hamachi. A connection should now be established without any problems after entering your user data.
