Create an account for Skype

To be able to use the functions of Skype, you definitely need one Account, with which you can later log into the service without installing Skype.

1. To do this, first go to the Skype website.
2. Then click on the "Register with Skype" button at the top right.
3. A page will then open in which you have to enter the data for your new account. To do this, first fill in the fields for your first and last name and yours at the top e-mailAddress.
4. In the "Profile information" you still have to change the country and the language, if you do not enter "Germany" or "Germany". Want to use "German".

5. Then enter the username you want to use. This will be checked automatically and you will then receive a message as to whether the user name is still available or not.

8. Your account will then be created and you will receive a welcome message by email. You can now close the window.

Use Skype without installation via a USB stick

Typically, Skype is installed right on your PC, Mac, or mobile device. If you want to avoid such an installation, you have the option of saving Skype Portable on a USB stick and thus starting Skype directly from it.

1. To do this, download Skype Portable (http://www.chip.de/downloads/Skype-Portable_20733442.html) down.
2. Once downloaded, open the self-extracting archive file to set up Skype.
3. Select German as the language and click on "OK".
4. Accept the license agreement and change the target directory on your USB stick for the next point. To do this, click on “Search” and select your removable disk under “Computer”.
5. Now follow the further installation instructions.
6. To open Skype Portable after the installation is complete, select the removable disk on which it is installed and open the Skype Portable folder.
7. Here you can see an application with the Skype icon. Open it with a double click.
8. Now you have to log in with your Skype account and you can use Skype as normal.

Skype Portable has the advantage that you can use Skype not only on your own computer, but also on the go, e.g. B. in the call center. Furthermore, Skype does not need an installation, which has the advantage that your computer does not become slower with additional programs.
