  • Do not use concentrated vinegar, always dilute it with water in a ratio of 1: 3. Clean your devices not too often as acetic acid can attack rubber seals and other small parts. When working with vinegar, it is best to work outdoors whenever possible - but do not inhale the fumes.
  • Prevent this by wiping thermoses or kettles with a soft cloth after each use. This way the inner walls remain free of limescale.
  • Proceed as follows with kettles: Pour a little diluted vinegar-water mixture into the device and fill it up with water. Let the water boil. Then let the mixture work for about an hour. Then you should let the device heat up with clear water. On the inner walls, put a rag soaked in the vinegar mixture.
  • Alternatively, you can work with citric acid or denture cleaner tabs. You dissolve the latter in a little water. At a coffee machine fill the water tank with diluted citric or acetic acid. Let the mixture go through. Here, too, you should carry out at least two runs with clear water after cleaning.
  • Use baking soda or dry yeast for thermos and vacuum jugs. Put a packet in the jug, fill up with water. Let the whole thing soak for about 30-60 minutes. Clean with a bottle brush and rinse the jug with clear water.
