Laying the flooring
- Take your click laminate out of the packaging and put the first row together on your room wall. Put small wedges between the wall and the first row. The wedges can also be used to level out irregularities in the wall.
- If you notice at the end of your laying row that your piece of laminate no longer fits into the gap that is still open, then measure the gap and cut a piece to fit. Be careful when doing this and measure twice before you have to dispose of the laminate strip.
- After laying the first row, you have to apply the drawing iron to one end and compact the laminate row with a few blows. You then have to compact at the end of each subsequent row. The compression prevents air from forming between the individual click laminate pieces.
- For the next row, start with the piece that you cut off in the first row. You place the frame of the click-laminate piece in the groove of the first row and tap the click-laminate towards the wall with the stick. At the end of the row, compact again with the drawing iron. Proceed row by row until your floor is completely covered with click laminate.
If you have installed click laminate, lay people may mistake it for parquet flooring.
