Fasten the plinth in the kitchen

Your kitchen just won't look perfect without a plinth. This is included in the delivery of a new kitchen. You don't need a professional to attach it. You can do it yourself!

What you need:

  • Skirting board
  • pencil
  • saw
  • Fastening clips
  • Spax screws

Attach the plinth panel in the kitchen - off you go

  1. Unpack the plinth cover and place it in front of the plinth feet.
  2. Mark the desired length with a pencil.
  3. Use a saw to cut the plinth panel to the correct length. If the height is not quite right, you will have to shorten the base panel at the top.
  4. You need the clips supplied for the base side part. You insert this into the base glider from bottom to top.
  5. Then remove the adhesive strip attached to the clip.

  7. Now the sock side part is pressed firmly against the base feet and then carefully removed again.
  8. The adhesive strip now sticks to the side of your plinth.
  9. Screw the clip to the base panel with a spax screw.
  10. Attach the transparent base clips to the upper edge of the front base panel.
  11. Carefully slide the base cover under the furniture and press them firmly to the base of the base.
  12. Move the base clip so that it is also anchored to the base foot.
  13. The transparent fastening clip holds the plinth panel firmly on your kitchen furniture. This should now be flush with the floor.
  14. Finally, shorten the plinth panels to the desired height and attach them to the ends. The new one is ready kitchen.

Dismantling the plinth panel

If you have to move at any time, it is easy to remove the base cover again.

  1. Pull the clear fastening clip to the side and fold it forward. You can easily detach your skirting board.
  2. Make sure, however, that you carefully remove the glued-on parts so that your kitchen still looks perfect when you rebuild it.
