This is how the setting works on older machines

With the older models of the Senseo coffee pad machines, there is no specific function to be able to adjust the amount of water. With a little trick, however, this is possible.

  • You switch on your Senseo normally and press the "2 cups coffee" button.
  • When your coffee cup is full enough, press the button on yours coffee machine and the water supply stops.
  • If you switch the coffee machine off and on again, you can also increase the amount of water and use the pad a second time so that the coffee is thinner and not as strong.

The right amount of water for new Senseo machines

The Senseo coffee pad machine "New Generation" has the function to adjust the amount of water. You can set the amount of water here individually via the display.

  • You can set the amount of water for your Senseo coffee pod machine using the buttons and the display. However, the water quantities that can be selected are also predefined here.
  • With the Senseo "New Generation" you can use the buttons on the coffee machine to select three different amounts of water and thus determine the coffee strength individually.
  • To do this, you simply have to press the button to select the amount of coffee, the selection then appears in the display. Press the button to start brewing coffee.
  • If the preset amounts of water are too much, you can also stop the water supply here by simply pressing the off button.
