The grading system in schools is divided into six different grades. In order for the students to be successfully promoted to the next higher grade level, they must under no circumstances have a 6. If you have a 5 in your main subject, this is not exactly ideal either. However, you can compensate for this note and still create the offset.

If you don't want to stay seated, you have to make an effort

  • The school system in Germany is clearly structured and there are certain rules that all students must adhere to. If you don't learn enough and make an effort, you will definitely have problems at school very quickly.
  • Fixed grade and promotion rules apply in every school, regardless of whether you have the secondary schools, the secondary school or go to high school. The grades 1 to 4 are definitely still within the limits and do not play a role in a transfer.

  • A 5 in the main subject may also pose a risk of promotion if you cannot compensate for this grade. However, you can no longer compensate for two 5s, no matter how good you are in the other subjects.

  • There is another option if you have a 5 but you are missing a 1 or a 2 in another major. If you have a 3 in at least two other main subjects, you can also equalize the 5 and have achieved the class goal.

Only these two options are available to you to offset a 5. If you are unable to produce the corresponding grades in the other main subjects, you will have to repeat the class. With a 6 there are no more options.
