Turn off cookies and surf anonymously

  1. Open Firefox and select "Settings" from the menu.
  2. In the new window you will now see the respective options for Firefox, which you can adjust manually. Select the "Data protection" tab here so that cookies can be switched off under Firefox.
  3. Under the heading "timeline"you will see a selection menu which shows you three options. Select here "Create according to user-defined settings" to get access to the cookies.
  4. You can now remove the check mark under "Accept cookies" and turn it off in Firefox. This allows you to surf anonymously - which unfortunately also has some disadvantages, which will be explained in the next paragraph.
