An air filter on a motorcycle is something like a human's lungs - it ensures that the engine can "breathe" freely and that no foreign bodies get into the engine with the intake air. The air filter must be serviced and cleaned at regular intervals in order to ensure that this is not disruptive. Instructions will show you how to do this correctly with the different types of air filters.

  6. Before reinstalling the wet air filter, remove the cloths from the intake ducts and coat the Edge of the filter with a water-repellent sealant from a specialist retailer to prevent dirt from entering can.
