Build a wooden bicycle garage

How to build a wooden bicycle garage
First, check what alternatives are available to you for the bicycle garage. - Now place two upright posts in front of the two upright "outer posts" at the correct distance (according to the depth of your bicycle garage). To do this, first insert foundation made of concrete and insert a sturdy iron girder into it for your beam.
- Work with the spirit level again and make sure that the angle to the house wall is 90 degrees. B. a height of 2.50 meters for the crossbeam, the front posts or the crossbeam should not be higher than two meters.
- Now connect the front uprights with a crossbeam with your counterpart on the wall and also connect the front upright with a crossbeam. Work with sturdy iron angles or with wooden plating at the corners. The basic framework for your wooden bicycle garage is almost finished.
- Now connect the joists at the bottom, about 4 inches above the floor, with another wreath of joists so that you can attach the wood paneling to them. You have already set the crossbeams at the top. For the roof, it is also advisable to add two or three transverse beams so that it is stable against the load of snow. You also need a separate frame for the door if you want to lock your bike garage safely later.
- When the frame construction is finally finished, cover the outside with wood. Use either simple tongue-and-groove boards or slightly thicker smooth boards that you attach as inverted formwork.
