Lay out the breakfast table with cutlery

For the breakfast table you need the following dishes per person: A middle plate, a coffee cup, a saucer, a knife, possibly a fork, a coffee spoon and a glass.

Simple lunch menu with cutlery on the plate

For this you need: a menu plate, a soup plate, a table knife, a table fork, a table spoon, a napkin and a water glass.

  1. Menu plates and soup plates. Place the menu plate (flat plate) in the middle of the place, the soup plate on the menu plate.
  2. Knife and spoon. Place the table knife to the right of the menu plate, again with the cutting edge inwards. The table spoon is placed next to it.
  3. Fork. The table fork is placed on the left side. Optionally, you can also lay the table spoon over the menu plate with the handle to the right.
  4. Glass. The water glass is located above the table knife and table spoon.
  5. Napkin. Finally, decorate the napkin on the soup plate.

The festive table with cutlery

A place plate, a menu plate, an appetizer plate, a soup cup and saucer, a salad plate and a bread plate are needed here. The different cutlery you will need are: table cutlery, dessert cutlery and a butter knife. In addition, different glasses and a napkin are needed at the table.

  1. Place the presentation plate in the middle. Place the underplate in the center of the space. The menu plate is placed on top.
  2. Place the starter plate. Place the starter plate on the menu plate. Finally, the soup cup and saucer follow.
  3. Place the cutlery correctly. Place the cutlery next to the plate (fork on the left, knife on the right).
  4. Starter cutlery. The starter cutlery now follows. The spoon for the soup is placed right next to the starter knife.
  5. Dessert cutlery. The dessert cutlery is laid out above the place plate, with the spoon facing to the right and the fork facing to the left.
  6. Bread plate and butter knife. Now place the bread plate to the left of the cutlery and place the butter knife sideways on the right half of the plate with the handle down. Make sure that the cutting edge is pointing to the left.
  7. Salad plate. The salad plate finds its place above the forks.
  8. The glasses. Finally, the glass for the main course (guide glass) is placed one centimeter above the table knife. The glass for the starter is below the guide glass at the height of the table spoon.
  9. Napkin. Now decorate the napkin on the table.

If you now ask to table, always make sure that there is a distance of 60 to 80 centimeters between each place setting at the table.
