The summer beach feeling can easily be brought into your own garden with a self-made beach chair. You can put the project into practice even without a complex construction plan.

Get the material for your beach chair

  • First you get the "ingredients" for your new beach chair without a special blueprint. So that you can enjoy it for a long time, it should be reasonably stable.
  • So you buy two wooden panels, each 200 x 100 cm in size, for the side walls of your beach chair in the hardware store. Here you can saw in the curves for the upper edges, approx. starting at 175 cm. That saves you time.
  • For the back wall, get a wooden panel measuring 175 cm x 80 cm.

Now start building without a blueprint

  1. You simply screw the side walls to the above-mentioned rear wall using wood screws. It is best to pre-drill the holes here. This way the panels don't tear.

  3. Then screw square pieces of wood to the side walls. You will use this later as an intermediate floor and as a seat.
  4. You mount strips at a height of 44 cm for your seat. The height ends here at 48 cm.
  5. For the intermediate shelves, screw 3 strips - 26 cm high - with the catch strips described above.
  6. Now that happens Assembly the intermediate floor and then the seat. This will help you stabilize the beach chair. You can do this even without building instructions.
  7. Next, attach the seat. For this you use a so-called piano hinge, which you attach to the support bar directly on the back wall of the beach chair.
