Correctly attach hinges to kitchen furniture
Hinges were invented to be able to attach a door to a piece of furniture. If you don't want this door to be crooked after the hinges have been attached, there are a few things you should consider when attaching the hinges.

In this case, you need to attach the doors to the kitchen furniture with hinges. There are a few things you should pay attention to so that the doors are not crooked afterwards.
Mount the hinges perfectly
Before you buy the hinges for your kitchen furniture, you should first check which hinges were previously attached to the kitchen furniture. To make assembling the hinges easier, you should buy the same hinges again. If this is not possible, then this is not a big problem, you just have more work afterwards:
- If you have bought the same hinges as before, all you have to do now is make sure that the correct holes are in the door to be fitted. If this is not the case, you will have to drill the holes yourself. To do this, measure the height of the holes on the side of the cabinet and mark these holes in the same places on the door. You can then pre-drill these holes with a drill. Pre-drilling has the advantage that you can screw in the screws more easily and, above all, attach them to the right place. Otherwise it could happen that the doors hang crooked.
- In the second step, you can now screw the hinges onto the door and then remove the old hinges from the side of the cabinet. Now it would be great if you had a helping hand because the door should be held against the cabinet while the hinges are attached to the cabinet.
- If you want to attach hinges to kitchen furniture on which no doors have previously existed, then you have to pre-drill the holes not only on the door side, but also on the Cabinet side. Then first mount the hinge on the door side again before you start with the Assembly start at the side of the cabinet. In this case you should measure the holes on both sides (door and cabinet) and mark them beforehand before drilling the holes. This is the only way to guarantee that a decent result will be achieved.
- Typically, the matching screws are sold with the hinges. If you buy the hinges individually or if you still have old hinges, then you have to buy the right screws. Make sure that the screws are no longer than the thickness of the cabinet or Door wall are.
