What you need:

  • 1 x can of wood glue
  • 20 x wood screws
  • 16 x beech wood beams
  • 1 x slatted frame

You are building a four-poster bed out of beech wood.

  1. First, cut the 10 cm x 10 cm base beams to a length of 250 cm. The material is made of beech wood. Then cut the roof frame from 5 cm x 5 cm beech wood to two times the length of 5 cm and six times the length of 140 cm.
  2. The base frame of your four-poster bed wood is cut from 10 cm x 10 cm beech wood beams to two times the length of 130 cm and three times the length of 200 cm.
  3. Now you have to cut the supports for the slatted frame. Use 3 cm x 2 cm beech wood strips and cut them twice to 200 cm and twice to 130 cm.

  1. Take the two 220 cm long beech wood beams of the roof frame and screw the 140 cm rods on the inside. Divide the six poles over 220 cm so that all poles are the same distance from each other.
  2. Now screw the frames for the slatted frame to the four base frame beams at a height of 5 cm each. The slatted frames for your wooden four-poster bed can first be glued with wood glue and then screwed on with wood screws.
  3. Take the four base bars and screw the 30 cm feet flush with one end. Now screw the base frame to the base beam of your four-poster bed made of wood. The base frame is screwed at a height of 30 cm so that the grating supports point inwards.
  4. Then screw the third 200 cm long beam again in the middle of the base frame, which serves as an additional support and is screwed to the base frame beam at a height of 5 cm.
  5. Finally, place the roof frame on the four base beams and screw everything together. When that's done, all you need to do is insert a slatted frame and your wooden four-poster bed is complete.
