Prepare the Easter bunny for handicrafts

If you want to decorate your apartment or children's room for Easter, but not always expensive If you want to fall back on purchased decorations, you can simply create an Easter bunny yourself with or for your children handcraft. To do this, you need a toilet paper roll, some construction paper in brown or brown watercolor or brown colored pencils. Then you need some green crepe paper and still white construction paper or white felt. You will also need scissors, pencil and glue.

1. First, prepare a stencil for the Easter bunny. Here you can either create a template according to your own wishes or you can opt for a practical handicraft template from a book or the Internet. The template in these instructions consists of a round rabbit head with ears, a total of approximately 10 cm high, and two small round circles as hands, two larger round circles as feet and an oval to match the head as Belly.
2. Take the stencil and draw it on the brown construction paper with a pencil. Take a piece of the white construction paper or felt and draw a piece for the belly. Orientate yourself on the template on the brown construction paper, then you have about the size you need.

3. Take another piece of white construction paper or white felt and trace the ears, or better said, trace the ears a little smaller and narrower. Because the white felt will later become the inner fur for the ears.

How to make your own Easter bunny

Now that you've prepared the stencils and everything else, you're finally ready to start making your Easter bunny.

1. First cut out the brown Easter bunny template with the scissors. It is best to cut along the pencil line so that it cannot be seen later. Otherwise you can erase the remaining traces of the pencil lines. Paint a happy face on the Easter bunny head.
2. Then cut out the white belly. Then take the white belly and glue it well onto the brown belly. Be sure to use a glue that sticks felt.
3. Then take the inner fur for the ears and glue them to the brown ears. Cut out a small, white point from the white felt and glue it to the rabbit's face as a nose.
4. Now paint the toilet paper roll with brown watercolor or colored pencil. You can also cover the roll with brown construction paper or crepe paper.
5. Now line the inside of the toilet paper roll with the green crepe paper. Now the bunny has a small Easter basket on its back.
6. If using watercolor, wait for the bunny to dry. Then glue the toilet paper roll to the rabbit's back.

Now you have a little Easter bunny that can carry candy or an egg in its Easter basket.
