Do you have a great car with lots of horsepower under the bonnet? Or even a very small, everyday vehicle. They all have one thing in common. At some point you have to park properly sideways and you can't. But how do you actually park properly? In order not to become a mockery of the entire street or to avoid a long queue of traffic behind you, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

How to park properly

As an example, you can select a parking space in front of which another vehicle has already parked. In this example, you are parking backwards on the right.

  • Find a large enough parking space for your car. Secure yourself with a look in the rearview mirror and a look at oncoming traffic.
  • Stand next to the vehicle parked in front, mirror to mirror at a distance of approx. 50 cm from the mirror.
  • Turn the steering wheel vigorously to the right twice and slowly reverse into the parking space.
  • Driving test - this is how you can drive uphill and park

You have passed the theory test, several practice drives and the special drives in ...

  • In the middle of the gap, turn the steering wheel two times to the left and continue reversing.
  • While doing this, watch the traffic behind and on the opposite side, as well as the rear of the vehicle parked in front of you, and don't let traffic behind you make you nervous. After all, no master has fallen from the sky yet.
  • Make sure there is a distance of approx. 20 cm from the edge of the road. Do not park on the curb, it will damage the tires.
  • Remember to vigorously turn the steering wheel. Some people often steer very hesitantly, which is more like rowing on the steering wheel than correct steering.
  • Now you should stand in the parking space, as if fresh from driving school, without any stress. With a little practice, you will soon be able to use smaller, suitable parking spaces. And with the right technology, driving a car is even more fun.
