Field stones are very suitable for building a wall and are chosen by many property owners because they look very natural. Choose the right field stones

• You can also buy field stones in hardware stores and building materials stores. Make sure you have a lot of different sizes, because only then will a wall made of field stones look really good. However, you should sort out very small and very large stones. Orientate yourself on the width of the wall, the field stones should have about the same width, because then they can be easily processed.

Preparing the wall from field stones

• Pull a string along the entire length of the wall so that it is really straight.

• Raise about ten to eight centimeters of earth along the entire length and width of the wall and encase it with old wooden boards. If you pour this with concrete, a foundation is created. Place the first row of field stones there before the concrete has dried.

Put the field stones together to form a wall

• Mix the mortar according to the specified ratio and completely cover the first row of field stones with it.
• Before the mortar is dry, do the same with the second and all subsequent rows until the wall is built up. The field stones are practically glued to one another through the mortar.
