Start with the characteristic

The structure of a literary characteristic is clear - it consists of the introduction, the main part and the final part.

  1. In the introduction, give some (brief) information about the person you are characterizing. This includes the name, origin, and appearance of the literary character, which you will describe later.
  2. In the main part, you need to accurately describe the characteristics of the literary figure. Back up your observations on the character of the person with the help of different passages of text.
  3. At the end of the day, your opinion is also asked - state your position in the final part of the characteristic: deal with the person and evaluate their behavior

By the way: A literary characteristic must always be written in the present tense.
