Facebook is now one of the best-known networks. The number of users is increasing day by day and so the operators are trying to improve Facebook a little in terms of design. That was, for example, the new one timeline that offers a little more possibilities and looks less boring than the old one profile. But there is still not much that can be done when it comes to colors. So so far there has only been one way to color Facebook black - via an add-on.

Color your social network black with "Stylish"

If you use the “Firefox” or “Chrome” browser, you can use the “Stylish” add-on to color Facebook black.

  1. Open Firefox and install the add-on Stylishby clicking the green installation button. This opens a window in which you click on “Install now”.
  2. You should then restart your browser. Then log in to Facebook. At the bottom left you will see an "S" symbol that you click on. In the overview you can select "Search styles for this page".
  3. This will take you to a list of finished designs where you can choose one of them. There is a style here called "FaceBlack", this is the design you can search for.
  4. "Facebook in your color?" - How to personalize your page

"Facebook in your color" - now this wish can finally be realized. How to ...

  5. Then click on the "Install with Stylish" button in the design. In the selection window that then opens, select the "Install" button. Then go back to Facebook, which should shine in the black design.

Color with "Facebook Color Changer"

The GreaseMonkey script "Facebook Color Changer" works with the Firefox browser, but what does it do? Unfortunately not everything on Facebook can be colored black, only the typical blue of it in black exchanges.

  1. First you need the add-on "GreaseMonkey", which you can install in your Firefox as described above.
  2. After the restart you also have to download the script "Facebook color changer" to install. To do this, click on the “Install” button and in the Greasemonkey installation window on “Install”.
  3. After the installation, restart Firefox and start Facebook. In the top right corner of Firefox you will then see the icon for GreaseMonkey.
  4. Click on it and then move the cursor to "User script commands" and select "Customize Facebook colors". The program then starts and you can set the colors to black. Confirm your settings with the “Set!” Button.

Depending on what you want black on Facebook, one of the two programs is better for you. Please note, however, that only you can see the black color and that only via the browser in which you are using the add-on.
