With Facebook it is not possible to upload a PowerPoint presentation directly so that it can be viewed within Facebook. However, you have several options to choose from that you can still use to share your presentation with your friends. On the one hand, you could save it as a video and then upload it, or use a free internet service where you can upload and distribute your presentation.

Save the PowerPoint presentation as a video and upload it to Facebook

The easiest way to do your presentation is at Facebook share by saving them as Video save and then upload. Depending on which version of PowerPoint you have, you have to proceed a little differently:

  1. To do this, first start PowerPoint and open your presentation.
  2. If you are using PowerPoint 2010, you can now save your presentation directly as a video by clicking on "Create video" under "File" under "Save and Send". You can then make individual settings in the right-hand area, such as the video quality and the duration of the individual slides.
  3. With other PowerPoint versions (resp. Even with PowerPoint 2010) you basically have two options for creating a video: On the one hand, you could use a converter such as "iSpring Free" or "Leawo PowerPoint to Video Free" that give you your presentation as a video file with just a few clicks to back up. On the other hand, you also have the option of your Record desktop to let, which has the advantage that you can precisely determine the duration of a single slide.
  4. Once you've created your video, sign in Facebook at.
  5. Link someone on a video on Facebook - that's how it works

On Facebook you have the opportunity to share content with other users in many ways ...

  6. Click on "Photo / Video" above and then on the first link "Upload Photo / Video".
  7. Optionally, enter a status message for your video and then click on the "File ..." button below to be able to select your video.
  8. Again, optionally, you can now enter people in the bottom left who appear in the video or the location of the recording (s).
  9. Finally, decide who can see this status message with the video (to the left of the "Post" button), and then click "Post" to share the video.
  10. Click "OK" and after uploading click "Close and Edit Video".
  11. Now fill in the information for your video that you want to provide and then click on "Save".

You have then completely uploaded the video and distributed it to the appropriate people as a status message. They can now watch the video and thus view your PowerPoint presentation.

Create a slideshow and share a link

Alternatively, you could make your PowerPoint presentation on a slideshow internet service such as slideshare upload and then share the link on Facebook:

  1. To do this, go to the slideshare website and log in with your Account at. If you don't have one yet, you can register free of charge with "Registration" at the top right, for which you only need a user name, a password and your e-mail- Need to provide address.
  2. Now click on "Upload" at the top and then on the orange button "Upload". The blue button can only be used in the paid Pro version.
  3. Select your PowerPoint presentation and click "Open".
  4. Enter a title and optionally fill in the remaining fields (tags, category and description).
  5. Now specify in the bottom left whether other people are allowed to download your presentation. This is activated by default, so you may have to prohibit this by unchecking the box.
  6. You now have two options for sharing this presentation. On the one hand, you could click on "Share" at the bottom right, copy the web address under "URL" and then send it as a status message. On the other hand, you could simply click on the Facebook logo in the area on the right, log in if necessary, enter a text for your message and then click on "Share link".

The link then leads to a page on slideshare, on which the visitor can view the presentation similar to a slideshow or a PowerPoint presentation.
