Call up old status messages on Facebook
The chronicle makes everything new. Some love them, others hate them, but no one can get around them. The only question is how the previous options can be transferred to the new Facebook profile. Old status messages can be found in the new Facebook-timeline invoke in two different ways. One of the two variants is basically the same as the old one profile, the other is completely new. But let's start with the already known variant.
How to read old status messages
- In the chronicle, too, old status messages can be called up by simply scrolling down. You can do this either by turning your mouse wheel or - if you don't have a mouse wheel - by using the arrows or use the bar on the right edge of the browser window.
- So you can go back to the birth of the profile owner. Depending on how active the Facebook user is, there can be a lot of entries here. For this reason, not all periods are always shown in their entirety. If you really want to see all the old status messages, you have to read them all while scrolling encountered buttons with inscriptions such as "Show more new messages" or "Show all messages from 2011" actuate.
Search the Facebook chronicle in a different way
Perhaps you have already noticed that the variant described above can be a bit cumbersome. However, a new function introduced with the Chronicle remedies this problem: There is now a timeline on the right edge of the profile. With this timeline, you can consciously go to certain time periods without losing track of things!
- Let's say you know that your Facebook friend joined the social network in 2010 and you now want to look up their very first posts and activities. To do this, click on the period 2010 in the timeline.
- A monthly overview now opens. If you know exactly which month you want to search, you can further specify your search here. If not, this period can also be searched easily by scrolling with the mouse wheel or the bar on the right-hand side of the window.
