  1. For the skirt of the dirndl dress, cut a rectangle that is twice the waist circumference. The length of the children's clothes should be about mid-calf. For the apron you need a rectangle that is the simple waist size and about 3 cm shorter than the skirt.
  2. Gather the width of the skirt with a row of thread so that it fits exactly to the top. Sew the skirt right sides together to the top. There should be no folds in the area of ​​the over and under step, in the remaining area these should be evenly distributed.
  3. Make two buttonholes in the skirt. Sew on the buttons. Close the rest of the skirt with a seam. Make a hem.
  4. Edge the rectangle of the apron along the length with narrow hems and at the bottom with a hem that is as wide as the one on the skirt.
  5. Cut a rectangle 4 cm wide and a length equal to half the waist size + 4 cm from the apron fabric. Gather the unedged edge of the apron to half the waist width. Sew this edge right sides together on the strip, 2 cm should protrude from the strip on both sides.
  6. Iron the 2 cm and 1 cm from the other edge to the left. Now fold the strip over the gathered fabric of the apron and sew it on the left side.
  7. Sew two 1 m long and 8 cm wide rectangles together to make two 4 cm wide tubes. Turn these two hoses over. Fold in one end at a time. Iron the tubes into ribbons. Sew up the folded ends.
  8. Now slide the other ends into the small openings that are on the right and left of the shooter's collar. Sew the apron strings on.

If you are practiced, you can sew sleeves on these dirndl dresses. Otherwise, the children can wear the clothes with a blouse underneath or wear them as sleeveless dresses in summer.
