Minecraft: fix communication error
For Minecraft, you can create your own server that players can then log into. Since the Bukkit version 1.8.1, however, the error message "Communication-Error" occurs regularly. Fortunately, this problem is easy to fix.
The communication error at Minecraft occurs especially when you create your server as an admin or want to log on to it. The users also receive the error message, but can mostly play anyway.
Fix communication error on the server
If you have created a server in Minecraft and installed Bukkit version 1.8.1, the communication error occurs at the latest when you want to set the server IP. This can usually be remedied:
- Open the Minecraft menu, click on "Server" and then select the "Web Interface".
- Here click on "Bukkit 1.8.1" and select the update displayed. Install this. After the process is complete, restart Minecraft.
You should now be able to make the settings on your server without an error message. The communication error does not have a direct effect on the behavior of the game, as logging into the server still works.

If the Minecraft start message generates the error
- If the communication error is still displayed after the update, check the set start message ("Welcome") on the login page to your Minecraft server appears.
- You can design this text freely - however, you should make sure that this message does not contain any umlauts or special characters, as these cannot be processed.
- Adjust the text accordingly (รค must be written ae) and save it. Then download the file to the server and start it. Your changed text will now appear and the communication error should finally be resolved.
