MRI files contain the pictures and information collected from magnetic resonance imaging and created in DICOM format. In this format it is possible to save other information for image analysis for each image.

  2. The search query should result in a few hits from which you can download a suitable program. The page microdicom.com for example, provides the "MicroDicom Viewer" for 32 and 64 bit operating systems free of charge.
  3. Simply download the appropriate version.
  4. After a successful installation, you can simply use it to open your MRI files. In some versions, this simply requires a double-click on the desired file.
