Basic shape for the paper angel

So you can get angels out volume-, silver, gold or printer paper, that is entirely up to you.

  1. Draw a semicircle and a full circle that are roughly the same radius on the paper. The full circle radius can also be slightly smaller than that of the semicircle. The size is up to you, the angels shown are only 2 cm high and for a doll's house, for example.
  2. Do not fold the semicircle in any folds, like an accordion. The folds should be arranged around the center. To do this, it makes sense to mark rays from the center of the semicircle as fold lines.
  3. Bend the pleated paper semicircle into a small cone. Make sure that the marking lines must be on the inside. Glue the cone together at the seam.
  4. Fold the full circle in half and place it on top of the cone as a top. You can still cut the circle a little by cutting small arcs into it.
  5. Make Christmas angels out of stove wood - this is how it works

  6. Glue the semicircle onto the top of the cone. Cut a small hole in this circle and the tip of the cone. You'll need that later when you're tinkering with the head.

Make angels out of this basic shape

  1. Draw a wing shape on the paper and cut it out. Hold the wings to the basic shape of the angel and adjust them in size. Glue the wings to the basic shape if you like the proportions.
  2. Choose a suitable bead or a styrofoam ball for the head. The diameter of the sphere should be approximately one eighth the height of the basic shape.
  3. Glue a wire in the hole of the bead or in the styrofoam ball. If you are tinkering with styrofoam, you should now color it with acrylic paint to match. Finally, paint a face on the ball with acrylic paint or a felt pen.
  4. Glue the head to the basic paper shape using the wire. To do this, you need to put the wire in the hole of this basic shape.
  5. Glue some wool, angel hair or viscose hair to the angel's heads.
  6. Now all you have to do is draw a few patterns on the angel's robe with the touch-up pencil.

Think about it Handcraft because of the fact that styrofoam is loosened by many adhesives. Use white glue or styrofoam glue when you glue the hair or wire to the angel's head. You can also glue the paper with all-purpose glue.
