- When choosing a suitable adhesive, make sure that it is completely free of solvents. If the adhesive does contain solvent and you apply it to the polystyrene, the material dissolves completely easy on and may not be usable at all (depending on the size of the area to which you applied the adhesive to have). For this reason, you should make absolutely sure that the adhesive contains absolutely no solvents.
With which you can also fix polystyrene on surfaces
- In the hardware store you will also find so-called. Assembly foam, which is also suitable for simply gluing Styrofoam to clean surfaces, which can also be used to master the challenge in this way. Therefore, you can also choose such a product to fix the polystyrene in a professional manner.
- If you want to fix smaller parts together while you are doing handicrafts, you can simply use paste for this. Wet the polystyrene with it and then fix parts made of polystyrene with the help of needles. Once the paste has dried, you can easily pull the needles out again.
