Especially when the weather here in Germany is dingy and uncomfortable, you get wanderlust. If you then longingly look after the planes in the sky, you can also use the Internet to locate the flight destinations. There you can also see the complete flight routes in "Live" mode.

Check flight routes live on the Internet

1. Start your Internet-Browser as usual.
2. Then call Flightradar24 on.
3. After a few seconds, a map of Germany and the surrounding countries will appear in a large window.
4. A few seconds later (depending on how fast your Internet connection is), small yellow airplane symbols that move slowly will appear on the map. It is a "live" image of all available aircraft information in the sky. Logically, fewer planes can be seen at night than at noon.

5. If you move the mouse cursor over an aircraft symbol without clicking, the yellow aircraft symbol turns red and the flight number automatically appears above the symbol.

6. If you now click on the selected red aircraft symbol, a new window with the aircraft information will appear on the left screen. You will see a sample photo of the aircraft type of the respective airline, the name of the airline and the exact flight number. The next line indicates the departure airport. You can also see on the map that a purple line shows the flight route so far. Below you will find the destination airport that the selected aircraft is heading for. Thus, the complete flight routes are displayed to you.

How to recognize the plane live above you

If you hear or see an airplane live directly above you and want to determine its flight route, you have to change the scale of the map.

1. Click once on the map and turn the wheel on your mouse. Roll down and you can see planes around the world. If you roll up, the section of Germany is always refined so that you only have a certain region in front of you in large format.
2. If you hold the mouse down and drag it to the left, right, up or down, you can select your city or region specifically and place it on the screen on a large scale.
3. The aircraft that you can now see or hear live above you should appear as a yellow aircraft symbol on the map. By clicking on the aircraft you can now determine the flight routes live.
