Skype takes forever to connect
In order to make calls via Skype, certain requirements must be met, otherwise it takes forever to connect or it doesn't even manage to establish a proper connection.

Problems connecting
Skype often takes forever to connect. This can have different causes.
- The most common cause of slow connections is your PC's firewall. First, check whether the software has been trusted by your firewall. If not, please change this manually.
- If your Internet access has a low bandwidth of DSL 3000 or less, it is obvious that Skype is not working properly. The only remedy here is actually a higher connection. DSL 3000 is recommended as the minimum standard.
- Make sure that you do not have any downloads running while using Skype, as this naturally also limits the functionality of Skype.
