Panasonic: start the search
When you set up your Panasonic TV, you also need to program in all of the channels that you want to use. The search run is suitable for this. How do you use it and how do you start it?
The search function on Panasonic televisions enables you to have the channels tuned in automatically instead of having to laboriously search for them manually. You can simply start it.
The Panasonic search
- Searching on Panasonic televisions has the advantage of automatically searching for all receivable stations. You can also make manual corrections to the station settings if they were not found optimally during the automatic search due to reception problems. You can start the search via the menu on your television, which you can access with the setup button on your remote control.
- With some Panasonic devices, the search is located in the sub-item "Setup", with some the corresponding function can be found under "TV memory menu" or "Settings". To then start the search, select the "DVB-S-Tuning" tab.
- Here you will again find various options. The point "Update channels" is decisive in order to start the search for your Panasonic television. After you have selected the appropriate function, the search begins and can take up to a few minutes.
Problems starting the scan
- If you cannot start the search on your Panasonic television, then a connected AV device may be the cause. In this case, you can alternatively use the search, which is available via the corresponding device - regardless of your television set.
- If the channels found are not arranged as you would like after the search on your Panasonic television, you can also start a manual reorganization. You can access this under "DVB-S tuning" when you activate the channel list. All channels can be sorted there as desired.
- If the search repeatedly fails to start on your Panasonic television, this may be due to reception problems. The stations are therefore not received in sufficient quality to be able to program them. Otherwise, a defect in the device can also be the cause, especially if your television switches off during the search.
