Create a WPS file

  1. Use Works to create a WPS file. It doesn't matter whether you use a spreadsheet or a word processing program.
  2. Then save the created file in the .wps format. Now you can use OpenOffice to convert this into a PDF-Convert file.

Convert to PDF

  1. PDF is a file format that can be opened independently of the program. This is an advantage of PDF. In order to be able to convert the previously created WPS file into a PDF format, open the file in the appropriate OpenOffice program.
  2. Make sure that, for example, a file created in the word processing program is also opened in this by OpenOffice.

  3. Then select the "Export as PDF" option in the "File" menu. Now you can choose whether the entire file should be converted or only parts of it.
  4. You can also protect the file by setting a password in the "Security" tab, which prevents unauthorized persons from changing the file.
  5. Click on "OK" to then name the PDF file and select the storage location. Confirm this with "OK".
  6. After converting the WPS file into a PDF file, you can now send it, for example, by e-mail or print it out. The actual WPS file is also retained so that you can edit it later.
