Convert SRT to SUB
If you want to extract the subtitles of films into individual files, you can hardly avoid the file formats SRT and SUB. Here you can find out what it is and how you can convert SRT files to SUB format.
These are SRT files
SRT files are created by the "Subrip" program. This extracts subtitles from film files and saves them in SRT format.
- So these are files in which the subtitles of films are stored.
- The SRT files are usually named exactly like the file of the associated film. Only the endings differ here.
- The text of the film to be displayed is assigned to a timecode. The files only contain the timecode from when to when the one below it Text line should be displayed, (example: start time (HH: MM: SS, MS) -> end time (HH: MM: SS, MS) Subtitle).

Convert the file to SUB format
The SUB format is also intended for storing subtitles. SUB files contain more information than files saved in SRT format and thus offer more options for displaying the respective subtitle text.
- To be able to convert an SRT file into SUB format, you need the "Txt2Vobsub" program. Download it from the official homepage Txt2Vobsub down. To do this, click on one of the download links given (Hotfile, DespositFiles or TrustFM).
- Since the program does not require installation, you can simply double-click it to open it after downloading it.
- Now import your SRT file. To do this, click on the "Load Srt, Txt" button at the top left.
- Select the file you want.
- Now you can optionally make a few more settings. This includes, for example, the colors of text and outlines. You can edit these under "Colors".
Finally, to convert the SRT file into a SUB file, just click on the "Generate Vobsub" button and the new format will be created.
