Is it customary for you to study the weather forecast every day, check your account balance, read the daily newspaper online and check your e-mails? You can certainly save the addresses of your favorite websites in your favorites and open a new tab after the other every morning. With the Internet Explorer you have the option, however, that all these tabs are already available when the program is started.

So all tabs are available

  1. Open the Internet Explorer program. The web page you see now is your home page. If you have been annoyed for a long time that this page is always opened and you first have to open your desired website via the favorites, you can change that right away.
  2. Before that, however, you need to make a few settings so that all new tabs can open at once. In the formula bar, click on "Tools"; a drop-down menu opens. Select "Internet Options" at the bottom and click on it with the left mouse button.
  3. In the window that now opens, click under "General" in the lower third of the page next to "Tabs" on the "Settings" button. The "Settings for tab navigation" window opens. At the very top of this window, check the box in front of "Activate tab navigation".
  4. Make sure that "Only open the first homepage on startup" is not checked. If there is a tick in the box, click on it to disable this feature. Then confirm twice with Ok and close Internet Explorer.
  5. How do I change my homepage in Internet Explorer?

You can always change your Internet Explorer homepage! You can even ...

  6. Then restart Internet Explorer. Click again on "Tools" and then again on "Internet Options". Under "General" you will see a small house. There is a text field next to it. In this text field, enter the addresses of the websites one below the other that should open when Internet Explorer starts.
  7. When you are done, click on "Apply", confirm with Ok and close the program. The next time the program is started, all websites should open automatically. The new tabs are one behind the other. You can switch between the desired pages by clicking on the respective tab.
