VIDEO: Minecraft: Turn off the weather
Minecraft is a very popular computer game, but because new versions and modifications, so-called "Mods", is constantly changing, some users have more problems. It often happens that the game suddenly hangs due to the weather effects such as rain or snow graphic hooks. It is therefore advisable for some players to simply turn these effects off.
Here's how you can turn off the weather effects in Minecraft
- In order to be able to switch off the weather in Minecraft, you first need the so-called Single Player Commands Mod. You can easily download these from the Minecraft forum.
- Then you need to install the mod in order to use it. As with all mods, first go to the Minecraft / bin file and create a backup of minecraft.jar. A backup is nothing more than a security copy that you can continue to use in the event of data loss. So just copy the files to a safe place. In this backup folder, run the following commands.
- Open minecraft.jar. You need a zip program for this.
- Then delete the Meta-Inf folder.
- Next, copy all of the downloaded files with the extension .class to the minecraft.jar folder. You can copy with the right mouse button as above for the backup.
- Of the computer will ask you if it should overwrite the existing files. Select "OK" here. For the mod to work, the old files must be replaced with new ones.
- Then close the file and copy minecraft.jar.
- Go back to the original folder and paste the new minecraft.jar into the original minecraft / bin folder.
- Now start Minecraft as usual, because you can now turn off the weather.
- Press the "t" on your keyboard. If the mod is running correctly, a dialog box will now open.
- Enter the command "weather sun" in this dialog box.
- Hit Enter. The weather in Minecraft should now be turned off.
