VIDEO: Change name on Facebook

Facebook wants users to log in with their real names and therefore limits the frequency with which they can change their names. Pay close attention to the spelling of your name because the changes are definitive. How to change your name on Facebook

1. Log in to the Facebook welcome page by first entering your e-mail-Enter your address and your password and then click on "Login". Your Facebook homepage opens.
2. Click on "Account" in the top right corner and select the option "Account Settings" in the menu that opens.
   The "My Account" page opens with various sub-chapters (e.g. B. "Settings", "Networks", "Notifications"). The first item under "Settings" is "Name". The name you have used so far is shown in gray on the right. Above that you will find the option "change" in blue. Click on it.
3. Some input fields open. Depending on which part of your name you want to change, enter the changes you want in the appropriate fields "First name", "Middle name" and / or "Last name". Then click on "Change name" (highlighted in blue).

You have now requested a name change on Facebook. Facebook checks this first, which is why it can take some time for the change to become visible.
