- First, the entire crack is tapped a little. Now a hole is drilled into the crack every 20 cm. These holes must be slightly smaller than the dowels used.
- Now the dowels are hammered in. They should sit a little deeper than the masonry.
- When this is done, the crack can be closed as normal with plaster of paris indoors or with mortar outdoors.
