There may well be a need for a new front door at some point. Regardless of whether it is made of wood, plastic or metal, these are preset at the factory and are readjusted by the person who installs them if necessary. What you have to do if you need to adjust your front door later is shown below.

What you need:

In the course of time it can happen that your front door has moved a little. This can have different causes, such as the effects of the weather. Here you have to adhere to the instructions for use. Below are two examples of how you can do this.

Set an aluminum front door

  1. Each front door has two hangers on which the adjustment is made.
  2. Please make sure that when you adjust your door, this is only ever done on the lower suspension.
  3. Before you begin, make sure the cover piece is secured to the door.
  4. Then loosen the threaded pins on the upper strap of the suspension.

  5. Now remove the upper protective cap and adjust the horizontal position by turning the inner spindle.
  6. Then put the cap back on and tighten the threaded pins again.
  7. If you remove the lower protective cap, you can adjust the height using the same procedure.

Set a plastic door

  1. There is usually a cover plate on the suspension devices of plastic doors. You have to remove this in order to be able to adjust the front door. When the cover plate is secured, you need to loosen it. Then press it down a little and simply slide it off.
  2. Now you can make the horizontal adjustment. Then slide the cover plate back on and secure it.
  3. The height adjustment is made from below on the lower bracket. Make sure that the door is closed before this setting.

It is important for you to know that all settings must always be made on the lower door brackets. You may only adjust the upper brackets.
