Stick pictures on the wall

Many homeowners and even tenants do not want to put nails or hooks on the walls to hang a picture. In these cases, you should try gluing. You can literally stick smaller and, above all, lighter pictures to the wall with special adhesive pads or adhesive strips. The products are available in a large selection in many hardware stores or hobby shops.

The method is also suitable for photos as well as postcards or posters. It is important that you follow the manufacturer's instructions. So you have to knead pads softly before you can use them for gluing.

Make sure that you can remove the strips or tape from the wallpaper without leaving any residue. You might want to test this in an inconspicuous place.

Attach pictures magnetically

Lighter picture frames can be attached to the wall with magnets, which you can purchase in craft stores. Glue the flat, small magnets onto the picture and wall.

If you want to use an entire wall as a variable pin board, magnetic paint is recommended. By painting on a special base color, you get a magnetically adhering wall. The top coat can be chosen individually. Now you only need suitable, small magnets to design the wall.

Hang pictures on a string

In many cases, you can hang large and, above all, heavy pictures with sturdy, thin threads. To do this, screw two hooks into the upper frame part of the picture. It is beneficial to place these two hooks more in the outer area of the frame. Make sure that the distance between the picture hooks and the left and right edges of the frame is exactly the same.

Now you have to mount a hanging option in the ceiling of your room or just below the ceiling on the wall. Hooks are suitable for wooden ceilings, for example. Picture rails are a possible alternative for walls.

Then hang your pictures on a sturdy, almost invisible string. However, you should be aware that in this case you will need to drill. However, the damage is in a less visible place.

Check beforehand whether you can also hang the picture on the two hooks with cords pointing outwards at an angle. It can be attached to a shelf or your cupboard, for example, without a nail.

Easier than expected! Regardless of whether you glue, attach magnetically or work with a sturdy thread. Pictures can also be permanently attached to a wall without nails and hooks.
