Delete internet history in Vista
If you have a PC that has the Vista operating system installed and you want to clear internet history, there are several ways you can do it. The following article shows you how to do this and what to look out for.
Remove Internet history in Vista using the control panel
- If you want to delete the Internet history on Vista, you can do this via the control panel.
- To do this, start your PC, boot it up and wait until it has completely loaded all programs and applications.
- Then click on the start symbol in the lower left corner and wait for the Vista start menu to open.
- Then click on the item Control Panel on the right-hand side and wait for the new window to open.
- Here you can now select various options that affect the control panel. However, in order to delete the internet history, click on the point "Network and internet options".
- Here you will again see a multitude of options that you can choose from, whereby you have to select the option "Internet Settings" in order to clear the Internet history.
- A window will now open in which you can now delete the various Internet files such as cookies but also the history. Do this, confirm your selection and your internet history will be deleted.

- If this is too complicated for you or if it doesn't work out that well, you can also delete your internet history in your browser.
- To do this, simply open the browser you are using and wait for a page to load.
- Now look next to the search bar whether there is a point with "Extras" (in Firefox) or a wrench (Chrome) and then click on the point.
- Now you can change, delete and edit various settings under Options.
- Then simply click on "Clear History" or "Clear Internet Data" to clear the history and other saved searches and remove them from your PC.
