Set subtitles on Pro7
With the subtitles, as with Pro7, a distinction must generally be made between two types. Some can be displayed via teletext, the others are displayed via DVB directly from the respective broadcaster.
German subtitles are particularly helpful for the deaf or for films and programs in other languages. Pro7 offers this via teletext, which can be faded in and out by entering the number combination. Unlike with DVB subtitles, this setting can be made directly on your remote control.
Set Pro7 subtitles via teletext
- In order to display the subtitles on the Pro7, you only need the teletext, which you can call up using your remote control. Most have a corresponding button with three stripes or "TXT" written on it.
- If you have opened teletext, enter the number "149" on the remote control to activate the subtitle. Now the current program switches on again and the corresponding text appears at the bottom of the screen. To switch this subtitle off again, it is sufficient to press the teletext button again.
Manage digital subtitles
- Unlike the subtitles, which you can set via teletext, such as with Pro7, some channels also offer digital subtitles, which are displayed by them depending on the program. Often the wrong TV settings result in a foreign language display.
- In order to activate this or to be able to set it in the correct language, you have to call up the menu of your television in order to get to the settings. The menu navigation is structured differently depending on the device, but the corresponding settings can usually be made using the "Language" or "Audio"make.
- If you want to activate the display, be sure to choose the correct language. If, however, you select the option "None" or "Off", no more subtitles will be displayed, even if they are provided digitally by the broadcaster. (As of 06/2013)
