Switching off the heating is not always possible with older heating controllers

• What is often less common is that you have installed a heating controller in your heating system that even in summer does the 'heater can not turn off.

If you still have an older heating controller, modernize it so that you too can save in the event of a total shutdown.

• Don't be satisfied with a controller that works on the basis of a fixed outside temperature.
• If your fitter or the manufacturer has set the switch-off limit to 22 degrees Celsius, the heating will only not run on really hot days.
• At temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, when you don't actually need heating, the burner starts anyway.
• Many heating experts recommend a switch-off limit of 12 degrees Celsius for well-insulated houses. Only when the controller measures this temperature (and below) does your heating switch on.
• The effectiveness of a controller-controlled, automatic total shutdown has been proven. You can reduce heating costs by up to a third.

You can measure the consumption yourself for the warm months on the basis of the current heating controller. You can find a lot of information online from heating experts who strongly recommend reducing the switch-off limit to 12 degrees Celsius.
