If the brew group on your Saeco fully automatic coffee machine is not blocked, there may be a fault in the transmission. If you are familiar with the technology, it is worth buying the Saeco gearbox fault repair set with a line transistor, Zener diode and carbon resistor. To check whether the gearbox is defective, measure the motor voltage.

  • Pull out the mains plug.
  • Measure the resistance between yellow / yellow and red / blue at the connector.
  • Plug in the plug.
  • Measure the voltage between the two resistors in test mode.
  • Yellow / yellow readings should be 85 volts and red / blue 33 volts.
  • If the measured values are lower, a defect in the line transistor, the Zener diode or the carbon resistor is possible.

In this case, buy the appropriate spare parts or have the Saeco repaired by a specialist. There are also spare parts for the brew group, such as the water inlet nozzle. You should only buy this if you can clearly see a defect in it.
