What you need:

  • 250 ml milk
  • 150 g melted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 eggs
  • 350 g flour
  • 300 g of sugar
  • 150 g candied fruit
  • 100 g ground hazelnuts
  • 3 teaspoons of gingerbread spice
  • 1 teaspoon clove powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pack of baking powder

  1. For the aromatic gingerbread you first need a large, sealable bowl or box. Now fill the bowl or box with the flour, the ground hazelnuts, the vanilla sugar, the sugar and the candied fruits.
  2. Then you also have to add the spices, i.e. the clove powder and the gingerbread spice.
  3. Now close the bowl or box and shake the ingredients in it well.
  4. You can then reopen the bowl or box and then open the melted butter honey, the Eggs and the milk put in.

  6. Close the jar again and then shake it vigorously so that the ingredients for the gingerbread mix together.
  7. After shaking, you need to grease your baking sheet and then spread the ingredients from the jar on it and smooth it out.
  8. The gingerbread must now be baked in your oven at 200 ° C for about 20 minutes.

Decorate gingerbread cookies after baking

After baking the gingerbread, you can let it cool down, then cut it into squares and decorate it at the end.

  • It is best to use a white sugar stick to decorate. You can buy this ready-made and you can start decorating the gingerbread with different patterns right away. You can, for example, trace the edge of the gingerbread in a wavy shape or put small dots on the gingerbread.
  • You can then put small pearls or sprinkles on top of the frosting. Once the frosting has dried, the pearls or crumble will not fall off either.
  • Ready-made sugar figures are of course also ideal for decorating the gingerbread. You just have to attach the figures to the frosting.
