Glue for glass and metal
If you want to bond glass and metal together, the right adhesive is of course necessary. Not every adhesive has the ability to permanently fix the two surfaces together, which is why helpful product recommendations are certainly of great advantage. Before you finally apply the adhesive, you should of course also check the surfaces clean so that the surfaces can stick together well and ensure a permanent hold is.

- To connect glass surfaces to metal, you can use the Loctite adhesive set (for around 10 euros), for example. In addition to heat resistance, the adhesive also has resistance to moisture, so that you can you don't have to worry that the materials can come off when the sun is shining on it or it raining
- Pattex also has a recommended permanent fixing adhesive in its range that you can optimally use for both materials. The "Pattex superglue glass liquid" (three grams for less than four euros) is exactly the right choice. Because it is solvent-free and dishwasher-safe. The hardening takes place transparently.
- If you rather need a viscous adhesive on a two-component basis, then you should fall back on epoxy adhesive "Easy-Mix Metal" (color black, price around 14 euros for 50 milliliters). What is particularly advantageous about this adhesive is the fact that it is even self-leveling. It aligns itself horizontally or vertically accordingly. When using it, however, it is important to note that the epoxy-based adhesive can trigger allergies, which is why special chemical protection gloves are recommended during work.

- If you want to bond metal and glass together, you should first clean the surfaces. For example, cleaning gasoline is suitable if the dirt cannot be removed with a water and washing-up liquid solution.
- Furthermore, make sure that the surfaces are dry and do not have any grease residues. For example, you can use a microfiber cloth or kitchen paper to dry it.
- The surfaces should also be as smooth as possible so that the adhesive can optimally bond the two materials together. Slightly rough structures are also suitable for gluing.
