Integrate plant signs as decorative objects in the garden

  • You can create simple and completely free plant signs by labeling large, flat stones with the names of the plants. To create a beautiful typeface, sketch the letters with a pencil. In this way, you can make corrections before you finally apply the writing with a thick, waterproof felt-tip pen.
  • You can make wooden plant signs from branches. Here you have the option of either cutting slices with a jigsaw or making the cuts at an angle so that the plant label has an oval shape. The wood should be dry before writing with a waterproof pen so that the paint does not run.
  • Alternatively, you can apply a layer of clear lacquer and write on it after it has dried. With small nails or the hot glue gun, you can attach sticks to the back, with which the plant labels can be stuck into the ground.
  • If you have small clay pots either "natural" or painted with a plant name provided, you can also place these decoratively next to the corresponding plants, and thus as Use plant signs.
  • You can also make beautiful plant signs from plywood with a little more work. To do this, draw out shapes of cucumbers, tomatoes, paprika etc. on the wood and cut them out with a jigsaw with a very fine saw blade. After you have painted the tags with acrylic or synthetic resin varnish and the varnish has dried, you can write on the tags.
  • Design planters creatively - this is how it works

All containers with a hole at the bottom for drainage of... are suitable as planters.

You can certainly integrate the crafting of plant signs into your garden planning for the next year over the winter and thus enjoy the anticipation of the next season.
